Overflow

I have had the honor to create another heart piece recently.  A sweet sister who wanted something different and special for her sisters birthday...I love how these heart multi-medium pieces are capturing the love sisters share!  After all, who knows you probably better than most...your sister?

I hope this one celebrates this woman, with her love of travel, her loyalty to her family, her passions and pleasures...

Shared Hearts

One of the most powerful relationships in life is that of a sibling.  You share the same history, swim in the same gene pool and if you are really fortunate you share the same present.

Recently I was so honored to create this piece for a treasured friend.  It's called Shared Hearts.

She wanted something special for her sister. They have traveled many of life's miles together.  The friendship, loyalty and trust of these sisters is a beautiful thing and something to be admired and honored.

When you are blessed with a sister who loves you unconditionally, self-lessly offers herself, her time and resources with no thought for herself, who laughs at the same silly things you do, who always includes you in the landscape of her self-portrait...your life is rich.

I would know - I am doubly rich  -  I have two such sisters.

Art for a New Year!

Happy New Year.

My "new" New Years Eve tradition....make new art!  Instead of creating a new years eve resolution that I'm sure to forget about, I set aside several hours on New Years Eve to create something that reflects my intentions and desires; way more fun than a list!  The journey of last year combined with the longings for the new year come together in this piece.

I call it:  "Heart for a New Year".
Although I'll admit it remains a work in progress...the themes are mostly complete.  I want a heart ready to tackle the new year.  Filled with solutions, beauty and persistence.  This is the kind of heart I want,  looking to find the purpose in the last year so that I know how to effectively invest myself in this years work.  If I can't know the purpose than I pray for a song to keep me singing through the days and weeks ahead.

Perhaps if this piece morphs into something more I will take a new photo and post it!

Also, this winter I am working on my new line of cards.  I'll  let you know when they are up and ready for purchase!

Big hugs and love!

Vintage Head Bands

Here are some really fun and quirky Vintage Head Bands. These are also made with remnants of vintage jewelry and/or buttons.  Designed to be mismatched and frivolous, these head bands are made from comfortable material and tie in the back for a perfect fit.  Currently the following pictures display each head band that is available.  They are $10 each.

If you would like one let me know.  As with the hair clips I can also show you them in person if you would like.

Note:  The Green pok-a-dot head band and tan/pale green with brown flower head band have sold and no longer is available.

Vintage Hair Clips

I have a variety of Vintage Hair Clips made with remnants of vintage jewelry and/or vintage buttons.  They are larger in size so they really make a statement.  They make a great stocking stuffer or a simple "girly" gift for a friend, daughter or even yourself!

Each clip is $5.  Just let me know which one you would like.  If you would like to take a closer a look at them I can show you them in person if it is convenient for you!  I am able to make more so if these sell out quickly.

This Pink Flower clip shows you what it looks like on someone.

Note: The clip with the brass ball on top, the clip with the cream flower with yellow center and the brown rectangle jewel clip have sold and are no longer available.

Rustic Picture Frames

These are bright, Rustic Pictures Frames.  They are made out of worn and cracked painted wood and accented with ceramic tile. Perfect unique gift idea when you need a little something for someone.  There currently are two different sizes.  Small and Large. (Sizes are approximately 3 1/2" X 5" and 5 1/2" by 5 1/2".)  They also make great recipe card holders!
This small red/white and black frame is $6.

This small light green/multi-colored tile is $6. NOTE:  This green frame is now sold and no longer available.

This is a larger aqua multi-colored tile frame is $9.

This larger blue multi-colored tile frame is $9.

The frames come with the black wire holder.  These 4 frames are now available.  Let me know if you would like one.
